August 26, 2026·data·← all articles

tl;dr: two rounds landed on august 25 2026. Adaptyv Bio announced a $40M Series A led by Highland Europe, with ACE Ventures, byFounders and Y Combinator doubling down. frontrun flagged it on april 16, 131 days before the news. Keenable announced a $26M seed from Accel and Conviction. frontrun flagged it on may 23, 94 days before the news, and Conviction's founder followed the account on june 24, 62 days before announcing the round.

Adaptyv Bio: the automated lab for agentic biology

Adaptyv Bio (@adaptyvbio) logo Adaptyv Bio runs a high-throughput wet lab in Lausanne that validates AI-designed proteins: submit sequences, get experimental data back in under 3 weeks. the company says it grew lab throughput more than 5x in the past year and onboarded over 100 customers, including Chai Discovery, Boltz, Roche and Novo Nordisk. its work with Anthropic showed the full loop: Claude designed proteins, sent them to the lab, got results back, and iterated on the data. founders: Julian Englert (CEO) and Daniel Nakhaee-Zadeh (CTO).

flagged april 16 2026, announced august 25 2026. 131 days.

Frontrun flagged Adaptyv Bio (@adaptyvbio) on April 16, 2026, 131 days before its $40M Series A

Adaptyv entered the graph on april 16 off a single tracked follow. two more tracked investors followed within the next 16 days, so by early may there were 3 on it and nothing in the press. then quiet for three and a half months. the next tracked follows came august 19 and 20, five and six days before the announcement, and four more landed in the 48 hours around the news. that shape, a small early cluster and then a burst right before the round, is the one we see most often on rounds this size.

none of the announced investors run a tracked account that followed before the news. the receipt here is the lead time, not the lead investor.

Keenable: the search index for agents

Keenable (@KeenableAI) logo Keenable is an AI-native index of the open web, built so every model and agent can query it, reason over it, and keep learning from it. the team took on Google at Yandex Search, with researchers and engineers from Amazon AGI, X and Perplexity. the Web Search API and Web Query Language are live now and free until the end of september. founder: Andrey Styskin, ex-CEO of Yandex Search.

flagged may 23 2026, announced august 25 2026. 94 days.

Frontrun flagged Keenable (@KeenableAI) on May 23, 2026, 94 days before its $26M seed

the fund in the round followed first

Keenable was flagged on may 23 off one tracked follow. a month later, on june 24, the account had 55 followers. that same day, Conviction's founder followed it.

date who followed
may 23 2026 a tracked account (the flag)
june 24 2026 Conviction's founder
june 24 2026 a tracked partner at a second fund (not in the round)
july 8 2026 a tracked account
august 25 2026 8 tracked accounts, the day of the announcement

on august 25, Conviction announced it was in the $26M seed. the follow came 62 days earlier.

this is the same receipt we wrote up on Gravity, where Lightspeed followed 7 days before announcing the round. 62 days is a different thing. a fund founder following a 55-follower company two months before the round is not a leak, it is the deal being worked in public, and it is visible to anyone watching the right accounts.

the account went from 414 followers to 832 in the hours after the announcement, and sits above 1,500 today. the whole run-up happened under 500.

one disclosure: frontrun uses Keenable's search API in our own enrichment pipeline. we were a customer before we knew about the round. that is a different kind of signal, and it is the one the follow graph caught first.

two shapes, one pattern

Adaptyv is a 131-day flag with no lead-investor receipt: the early cluster was there, then the graph went quiet until the week of the news. Keenable is a 94-day flag where one of the funds in the round showed up in the graph two months out. neither company was on a trending page, and neither had a headline, when the first tracked investor followed.

both raises clear our receipt ledger's minimum lead with room to spare, so they join the permanent record with their flag dates.
