Are these the same companies as the earlier YC Fall 2026 lists?

No. They are not the five on the August 31 page of YC companies nobody is following yet, not the August 27 full F26 list, and not the September 22 list of F26 companies missing from the YC directory.

Who founded the October 23 group?

The October 23 post names founders by handle for four of the five: Epsilab (@joannewang_, @OlsenMatthew99, @PFengjiao, @vanders3nn), Confetti (@lucasyuan007), Armorer Labs (@begimher, @cristian_le0) and Super Powers Mobility (@jp1994194). It does not name a founder for Verdun.
